In recognition of his commitment to supporting policies that benefit manufacturers and the broader business community in Illinois, State Senator Jason Plummer (R-Edwardsville) was named a “Champion of Manufacturing” by the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA).
The IMA awarded the title based on its 2024 Legislative Report Card, which highlights lawmakers who consistently support Illinois’ manufacturing industry. The Report Card rates lawmakers based on their voting record on key bills that impact the state’s manufacturing sector.
“I’m honored to be named a ‘Champion of Manufacturing’ and am proud to have supported our manufacturers and the employees of this backbone sector of Illinois,” said Senator Plummer. “With over 600,000 people employed in manufacturing in our state, lawmakers need to do more to support pro-growth policies that help create jobs, support our job creators, and strengthen our state’s economy.”
With a strong voting record in support of good jobs and a strong private-sector economy, Sen. Plummer demonstrated his broad support for Illinois’ manufacturing economy and the jobs it creates.
“Illinois manufacturers appreciate Senator Plummer, who has a strong record of supporting policies vital to advancing the industry and growing our economy,” said IMA VP of Government Affairs Donovan Griffith. “We’re proud to count on Senator Plummer as a member of the manufacturing majority in the Illinois General Assembly, and look forward to continued partnership.”
